Helping J Coffey Keeping Everyone Safe During COVID-19
With the recent announcement from the Government, the construction industry has been encouraged to return to work, as long as they comply with the industry’s latest guidance relating to COVID-19.
To ensure the appropriate instructions and messaging is given to workers, our client, J Coffey Group has asked us to create a series of Operational Standards specific to the procedures and measures, to be applied during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Many of the company's on-site workforce are not native English speakers, so these standards are designed to enhance the safety of their workforce as well as others. Our briefing was to create easy-to-read documents that everyone, no matter what they do in the company, could easily understand and retain the key safety messages, and that would tie in with the company’s rebranding back in 2018, which we also assisted with. The Austin Marketing team quickly produced a selection of J Coffey's Operational Standards in a poster format to match earlier work, and are now about to start on a group of additional site posters as these grow and evolve.
During this development process between our team and J Coffey’s Health & Safety Dept., the decision was made to develop a new safety video that could be easily shared at office and site inductions, and that would combine the simplicity and importance of the Standards.
With lockdown being anticipated, our Design & Development team whizzed up a video script, set up the storyline, recorded voiceover and developed a 5-minute animation video in record-breaking time: five days! The results of which can now be seen here.
The feedback has been amazing so far, as everyone says how engaging and effective the video is, and we’re now looking into creating others.
